Teagan Burns

Teagan Burns is an illustrator, educator, and storyteller based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With dual degrees in Illustration and Art Education, her work bridges classical technique with contemporary narrative. She specializes in pen and ink, watercolor, and digital media, often drawing inspiration from feminine forms, mythological themes, and her travels—ranging from rural South Africa to the vibrant markets of Morocco.

Teagan’s art captures fleeting moments through observational drawing and emotional nuance. Her practice centers around storytelling and connection, whether through personal projects or commissioned work. In addition to her studio practice, she teaches middle and high school art, where she integrates design thinking, digital tools, and global perspectives into her curriculum.

Her artwork has been featured in gallery exhibitions, public installations, and local art markets. Teagan continues to seek new opportunities to collaborate, share her work, and inspire creativity in others.
